IGS North America, formerly known as NAGS (the North American Geosynthetics Society), was established as a Chapter of the IGS (International Geosynthetics Society) in 1988. Geosynthetics have advanced civil engineering practice for more than 50 years, enhancing sustainability, extending service lives of infrastructure, and improving the economics of projects.
