The North American Chapter of the International Geosynthetics Society

Our team at IGS North America is on a mission to provide leadership in advancing geosynthetics education and research to attain appropriate and widespread use as engineering materials.

Connecting Canada and US-based private practice, academic, government, industry, and other engineering professionals who improve infrastructure, enhance sustainability, and advance education with the use of geosynthetics.

In Every Sector

With Membership Comes Influence and Advocacy .

Our Members influence IGS North America’s individual, benefactor (company), and student members contribute to all sectors of civil engineering. We are part of the most sensitive environmental projects, water resource conservation, and the largest roadway, railway, and airfields endeavors. We support safer, higher-yield mining designs. We extend infrastructure service lives, substantially reduce the carbon footprint of construction, and foster the next generation of engineers.
