Dr. Sample-Lord was given the IGS Chapter Service Award on May 1, 2024 during GeoAmericas 2024, the 5th Pan-American Conference on Geosynthetics. This award is given to one member every four years. Dr. Sample-Lord was recognized for her leadership on the Testing Innovation Fellow program with IGS-NA, Geosynthetic Institute, and ASTM International Committee D35 on Geosynthetics.

The International Geosynthetics Society has even honored Dr. Zornberg with a lecture named for him--the Zornberg Lecture, which is delivered every four years at GeoAmericas.

IGS awarded Dr. Richard Bathurst honorary membership in the chapter, effective January 1, 2024. Dr. Bathurst is an IGS Past President. The International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) has named a lecture (The Bathurst Lecture) after him for his distinguished career. The inaugural Bathurst Lecture will be delivered in September 2026 at the 13th International Conference on Geosynthetics.
